Is your Windows 10 computer suddenly slower than you remember? Performance issues can arise due to various reasons like hardware problems, poorly designed apps or drivers, excessive system resource usage, or malware infections. Fortunately, Windows 10 offers a comprehensive solution through the Performance Monitor. This tool allows you to view and analyze application and hardware data to diagnose and resolve performance problems efficiently. You can also customize data collection, set up alerts, generate reports, and replay collected performance data. To open Performance Monitor, you can use the Start menu, the Run command (Windows key + R), or the Power User menu (Windows key + X). Once open, you'll find real-time data on memory, network, disk, and processor usage, with the option to add counters and customize the view for a tailored performance analysis.

Performance Monitor's power lies in its ability to monitor various aspects of your computer's performance. To add counters for applications and hardware performance, simply click the green plus button above the Performance Monitor graph. Then, select the category, counters, and instances you want to monitor, and click Add. You can also customize the view by double-clicking counters, changing colors, scales, widths, and styles. Performance Monitor provides different graph types, including Line, Histogram bar, and Report, to suit your preferences. It even allows you to save your settings for future use. With Performance Monitor, you can gain valuable insights into your computer's performance and troubleshoot any issues effectively.
